Each National Administration of National Garden Clubs,Inc. selects a new theme. The new National President 2007-2009, Barbara May, has selected "Nurture the Earth - Plant Natives". In turn the Regions and State Presidents select supportive themes. Minnesota's 2007-2009 theme is "Nurture Nature and Each Other".
Beginning in June, NGC will be promoting a two-year project, "Seed of Tomorrow" - School Gardens - teaching youth the benefits of native plants and organic gardening. The Civic project "Let's Go Native" will include native plants and wildflowers. These projects are supported not only with information but may also be awarded grants.
